這數年間，教我印像最深的遊戲之一，必定要數《逆轉裁判》系列。由於不懂日文，一直也沒有接觸這個系列，後來Capcom在NDS上推出了英文版，這時終於可以完全領略到遊戲的樂趣了。
《逆轉裁判》是文字式AVG遊戲，題材則屬於罕見的法庭辯論，但其實說穿了，就是另類的「偵探遊戲」吧。一般的偵探遊戲，都要求玩家與人交談，搜集證據，然後從手頭上的資料，推論出誰是真兇。《逆》唯一不同的地方是——每次開庭前已知道(或猜到)犯人是誰，玩家要在法庭上把真兇入罪，還辯方一個清白。
遊戲中，每關的故事流程也差不多︰到案發現場搜集情報/找證物，然後上庭，再搜集，再上庭……。在搜集齊所有證物之前，遊戲是不會推進的，所以玩家可以安心地到處跑，以發掘跟兇案相關的線索。上到法庭後，控方會傳召證人來指正辯方。
遊戲最精妙的地方就在此處。身為辯方律師的玩家，不能亂提反對，因為這樣會扣減法官對你的信賴度。假若連續數次犯錯，法官將會宣判控方勝出，遊戲隨之中斷。要在訴訟中勝出，關鍵是捉到證人供詞的矛盾之處，再在這點上運用手上的某樣證據，提出反對，破解證人的謊言或有所隱瞞之處。
但要怎樣才能知道證人在說謊？當然少不了要用到推理技巧，但最重要的還是「常識」二字。不用想得太深入，只要把手頭上的證據看一遍，再對比每一句供詞，很易就會發現不協調的地方。一個設計良好的遊戲，會有足夠的提示幫助玩者，只要夠細心，不需靠攻略也可破關。《逆》就是一個完全不需看攻略，即使不慣打機的人，也能樂在其中的遊戲。

不過這遊戲最令我驚嘆的，是所需資源竟是如此的少。沒有人物語音、介面和操控簡單、插圖質素不高、就連2D人物做動作時，也是逐格逐格播放。這樣的一個遊戲，卻俘擄了萬千玩家的心，一集一集的追下去。因為大家在意的，是遊戲中的精彩故事，而非華而不實的畫面包裝。《逆》的成功，又再一次證實了——「遊戲性比畫面質素重要」的道理。
